Joining a dating/social website is a lot more difficult than I imagined it would be.   It's not easy to approach strangers, although everyone on this site seems very friendly.   

Last night I entered "chat" thinking I would be ignored.  That was fine with me, I would just sit back and watch other people communicate and over time, when I was more comfortable, I could begin to talk.  It didn't work that way though.  First of all, everyone was friendly and welcomed me, and secondly, I learned that if I don't say anything, I would be kicked out of the chat room.  What a great way to force people to come out of their shell.
