Being born and raised on the island yes I can say that it is a most beautiful place. I did find that the best time to do the Cabot Trail was Autumn. The Margarie Valley is beautiful in the fall colors.

I almost bought a 215-acre farm near Whycoming but ended up with a smaller place here in Maine.

That wasn't the best plac to buy land ..... I like Maine it nice country .... do you live close to St Stephen, NB I would always cross for gas and do some shopping way back when the dollar was good.

I am actually some distance away somewhere around 500 miles (or 800 kilometers) from your area. I live on the east side of the Penobscot River in Bucksport. I am near Bangor.

Ok I use to drive to Quebec using the bangor way.... it was a fairly nice drive some of it is not that great but I think they have improved it since I was last on it.... it been quite awhile for me now....

Been there many times- of course it is not far from where I live (well only 7 hours anyway)! My favorite part is the Ingonish Beach...specifically the Point Cottages right on the ocean....

Very Happy Hi there...I have to agree the East Coast is beautiful..all tho I have never been State side but sure would love to visit there sometime as well. The people of the Martimes are very friendly and gracious...one day I plan to go back there again. Thanks for allowing me to post in this forum..and I will again..and if anyone can tell me how to chat in the chat rooms could you please let me know?
