The last gig I attended was last week in the National Concert Hall Dublin - the Stylistics, and I enjoyed every minute of it - very lively and entertaining. Whom I would love to see is Westlife before they break up. I'm secretly a huge fan! lol

That is almost heartbreaking; mournful even...How in the world did you manage to not go to any?!
England has had SO many even before the 60's...That is just incredible not to have gone to even one Rock concert or to any live band/singer...ever. What about live comedy shows or taping in a studio down at one of the BBC studios???
I would have given almost anything to have gone to any of the Monty Python shows; even The Rocky Horror Show! The culture vultures down in Salisbury, Rhodesia banned ie even in the movie version back in the mid 70's and several of us had to take our leave down in Jo'burg to see it. It was indeed worth it! Never been the same since...
Madam, you simply must go to one, if not several ASAP! (That is if you aren't confined to some sanitarium out on a Channel island, deep in some dungeon...and schackled to the damp moss covered walls...
sure will, give me something to look forward to before I die, lol.never been to a pantomime either. oh what a sad life I have had, lol .but will have to escape first lol. watch out music world here I come.

Madam, I have zee answer to your anguished deprivation of never having experienced a Live performance; possibly vithout having to pay for it!
Suddenly barge into your Doctor's office looking very distraught and demand that he see you; that you have an urgent problem. Inform him/her that you are suffering from acute anguish and depression; zat if your condition is not immediately treated, you may have a complete psychotic breakdown and end up catatonic; that all your life you have been deprived of attending a live music concert and zat,(heavy on the Inspector Clouseau accent) you are now depraved. The only possible cure to your condition iz for him to issue you a prescription for an ERCA immediately! (ERCA= Emergency Rock Concert Attendance) If he cares for your psychological and spiritual well being, he/ she vill write it out. Take,(actually, grab it ) and rush out zee dur...go immediately to the nearest live concert, and prezent your prescription. If you cannot gain entry free of charge, I am sure that under your medical system zere, zey vill reimburse you zee cost just as for any medicationzat you would have to purchase over zee counter. Attending a live Rock concert will...iz your only possible medicine. You must be, nay, you vill be cured and live happily ever after. In my professional opinion,in dealing vith zee disturbed elements of society Madam, iz zat you attend at least one Live concert per month for the next several years, alors! Vive les concerts!

I hope to go out to see my mats band play in the pub. I have seen Status Quo at the British GP after the race thay have a stage and bands play it was good.
As a Watford FC season ticket holder I went with my two sons to see Elton John play. It is not my kind of music but the money was going to WFC.

Status Quo twice in '70s, think Elton is very talented and have Goodbye Yellow Brick Rd, a great double album, but not seen live.
Tony, I had planned to go to the band you mentioned by message Sun eve, either on own or with daughter, but have a wretched cold, I'll catch them another time.

I saw Garth Brooks, Rod Stewart, and Kris Kristopherson. Kris is my favourite lyricist and entertainer. It was at the Calgary stampede. A bar with large concert area with a raised platform as a stage. I was standing 25 feet against a wall; the seats were all gone. I was singing with Kris, every word. A couple people were angry with me " We did not come to hear you asshole!!". Kris forgot words to the second verse of one of his and my favourite songs, which I sang out loud and clear. He picked up the lyrics and continued. When the song was completed he stopped the band and personally thanked me for helping him recall the lyrics. I gave the crytics a look and the concert continued. One of the most memorable events in my life. I now play guitar and sing 2-3 times a week. Many songs of Kris's but very eclectic repetoire. I extremely enjoy entertaining with guitar and voice; even if I am alone.....LOL!
