  • Hi! Well here goes! Although I describe myself as a Northerngirl, I am also a snowbird. I started travelling to Mexico by RV in 1990 with my husband and although he passed away 6 yrs ago I have continued to travel to warmer clims. I haul my own 5th wheel from Whitehorse to Arizona/Mexico. So I guess that makes me independent. Don't let that intimidate you, I can't back it up and play "lady in distress"! I'm not much of a cook as I live on my own but I can cook a few favourites if I want to impress. I'm not a health nut but like to eat healthy and stay active. I have an 11 yr old Spoiled Springer Spaniel who travels with me. So if you don't like dogs go to the next profile!

    I've lived in the Yukon for 32 years and enjoy the outdoors,lakes, mountains and campfires. I'm not much of a city girl. I fished for many years with my husband and friends and enjoyed alot of outdoor activities. I read alot of fiction and have many fav authors, my current fav being Bryce Courtenay. I quit drinking alcohol 3 yrs ago and lost 35 lbs. I still enjoy socializing and have nothing against drinking in moderation. I have a few minor health issues (old age stuff!) but nothing thats keeps me from enjoying life. You should also know I am confident but sensitive and out-spoken to the point of being too honest at times. I am told that this is a likeable characteristic with the right person!

    I'd like to meet a man with similar interests, a good sense of humour and a gentle, honest but outgoing person who enjoys other people but not a party animal. Kinda laid back but active. I am kinda fussy about appearances so reasonable good looks are important, in good physical condition Dispite my age I feel good about my appearance. Nobody believe me, except my hairdresser that I am a natural platinum blonde with freckles, not age spots! I enjoy good blonde jokes. I am looking for a friend as well as a companion. No interest in marriage. I am willing to change my life-style as long as it includes travel to warm climates!

    I hope that being open and honest about myself will make this a successful endeavour and that I haven't wasted your time or mine. Oh, by the way, I am a widow on pensions and own my house.
