I just love this poem, thought I share...and I for one , am ready for spring..
Though cloudy skies, and northern blasts,
Retard the gentle spring awhile;
The sun will conqu'ror prove at last,
And nature wear a vernal smile
The promise which from age to age,
Has brought the changing seasons round;
Again shall calm the winter's rage,
Perfume the air, and paint the ground.
The virtue of that first command,
I know still does, and will prevail;
That while the earth itself shall stand
The spring and summer shall not fail.
Such changes are for us decreed;
Believers have their winters too;
But spring shall certainly succeed,
And all their former life renew.
Winter and spring have each their...
Sometimes in this lifetime,
We meet a special soul,
Who fills our very essence,
To almost overflow,
We drink the cup of friendship,
It tastes like ruby wine,
And you know within your heart,
This meeting was divine.
This soul that lives within your heart,
No distance can prevail,
An inner spark, within the heart,
becomes a Holy Grail,
the starting of a journey,
In which you both shall be,
A reflection of each other,
For all eternity.
Because the longest winter,
Is not the one whispering shivers
In valleys and the mountain pass.
With its fine-white veil,
Bathing the trees and countryside.
The longest winter,
Is the one that has settled in your eyes,
Staining your lips with gray words
Stealing your voice of sweetest chants.
You seem to have forgotten
I am a flower in your arms.
And thought I demand nothing of you,
With my heart like this -withered-
I must ask,
When will you give me back the sun?
You are like my morning tea.
A thought when I wake up
and my energy for the rest of the day.
Every warm sip I take touches my soul.
It ignites a spark that keeps me going.
Before I fall asleep, all I can think about is
how I get to drink you in again,
and taste your warm touch
that soothes my body.
I can’t wait to feel the rush
that your warmth brings,
like tiny kisses burning in me.
But what I love about each day after I open my eyes,
I can’t help but feel the need to make my morning tea.
The smell of Christmas is a tree,
A real tree brought inside.
It stands there in our living room,
Its green branches spread wide.
Popcorn and candy both smell fine,
But not as good as that.
Covered with colored balls and lights,
It wears a star for a hat.
That tree makes me think of the woods
and walking in the snow.
I’m glad It’s come to stay with us
For just a couple of weeks or so.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thoughts of you surround me.
You're the beating of my heart.
The love you give defines me.
My life is no longer dark.
You give your hand so sweetly.
I am lost if you're away.
You have me so completely.
I cherish you night and day.
Without your breath, I cannot live.
I need your lips on mine.
Nothing at all I wouldn't give.
I'll take nothing and be fine.
For in your arms I'm always home,
So happy and so proud.
Never a day you'll feel alone,
And I'll yell it oh so loud.
With you I always be home…
The meaning of life has no definition,
It is never the same,
How it’s different,
Makes it unique,
For every living soul,
My meaning of life is like a tree filled with leaves,
Some leaves fall and others don’t,
Like the million stars stuck in space,
used and wasted,
Abused and hated,
Loved and wanted,
But is there a meaning to it?
Is there a meaning in your life ?
I don’t know, you decide.
As the sunset-colored sky fades
and the stars sprinkle the heavens,
the moon peaks out to take a look
at the wonderful sight it sees.
It casts a faint light over the earth
as it moves to comfort the dark.
Its glow reflects on the water
and illuminates the streets and cities.
It balances the contrasts it makes
so that there will be no absence of light
and no consuming darkness.
But as dawn arrives,
the moon will disappear into the light
fading into white, gray, then blue.
‘Goodnight world, for it is time.
I sleep every morning to let sun shine.
You’ll see me again when the sun goes down,
I’ll be with the stars
waiting to come out.
