On Saturday, here in the United States we will be celebrating St Patrick's Day. On which beer and rivers turn green. Lots of people will be Irish and wearing green. Some people will be pinched if they are not wearing green. These are traditional but I am sure this does not happen in Ireland. There will be plenty of corned beef and cabbage being eat. ( beer and whiskey consumed). I am looking for recipes for corned beef and cabbage done in the crock pot. I know that I could Google it, but opted not to. Any suggestions or traditions?
So I looked through my cook books and found a recipe. Put the ingredients into the crock pot. The lesson I learned was that when I substituted. Kaliber which is a non alcoholic beer made by Guinness. Gave the food a bit of a strong taste. To it. Next time I will stick with O'Douls.
