This is my own from the children's book, The trouble with teachers

The trouble with teachers

Fat and thin, tall or short,
Bald and some hirsute,
Teachers come in every shape
And size, in skirts or suits,
What is the trouble with teachers,
Why are they all so mean?
They make us do arithmetic
And keep our work books clean;
They laugh at us, they shout at us,
When they're alone they swear and cuss,
They take us on a mini bus
To museums and parks and streams;
Boooooorrrring!
Oh, sorry - was I snoring?
They slipper me and cane me, too,
And then detention - boo hoo hoo!
I say, "I'll set my dad on you!"
Then just like they are fiends,
Immediately they give me lines
With chemistry and math combined,
How on earth can I unwind?
They act like they are preachers;
Do this, do that, do what I say,
Not what I do... is that okay?
They do these things EVERY DAY!
That is the trouble with teachers!

Ode to Miss Dowler

Short and sweet she's so complete,
I'm sure you would agree,
If only I was older,
She'd be the girl for me;

My one regret, I can't forget,
She teaches biology,
You'd understand how true love hurts
If you were young like me;

Miss Dowler, oh Miss Dowler,
I really think you're great,
My days are filled with heartache,
Because I'm only eight!
Reminds me of The Who song Pictures of Lily!
"Pictures Of Lily"

I used to wake up in the morning
I used to feel so bad
I got so sick of having sleepless nights
I went and told my dad
He said "son now here's some little something"
And stuck them on my wall
And now my nights seem quite so lonely
In fact I, I don't feel bad at all
I don't feel bad at all

Pictures of Lily
Made my life so wonderful
Pictures of Lily
Helped me sleep at night
Pictures of Lily
Solved my childhood problem
Pictures of Lily
Helped me feel alright

Pictures of Lily
Lily, Oh Lily
Lily, Oh Lily
Pictures of Lily

And then one day things weren't quite so fine
I fell in love with Lily
I asked my dad where Lily I could find
He said "son now don't be silly
She's been dead since 1929"
Oh how I cried that night
If only I'd been born in Lily's time
It would have been alright

Pictures of Lily
Made my life so wonderful
Pictures of Lily
Helped me sleep at night
Pictures of Lily
But me and Lily are together in my dreams
And I ask ya, "Hey mister have ya ever seen?"
Pictures of Lily!
